#20: It’s all Fun and Games Until…
Gen X loves to regale younger generations with stories of how different things were “back in the day.” Those differences are for better or for worse, depending on who you ask. One thing that’s for sure is that bullying was perceived very differently. Gen X kids worked hard and played hard, especially when it came to gym class.
If you didn’t like someone, you had every right to attack them during a friendly game of dodgeball. It was all just some friendly, light-hearted fun, right? Maybe. But even if it wasn’t, we all know that crying builds character. We’re kidding, of course. Some Gen X adults undoubtedly still have mild PTSD from being hit in the face by a giant rubber ball.
