The monkey-cat
Take a look at that creature and tell us you don’t see a monkey’s face in a cat’s body! It’s crazy to think of the endless possibilities of human creativity, which never cease to amaze us. The artist behind this piece is called Abraham Mignon, and he lived in the 17th century.
He was known for making complex compositions of flowers, fruits, and oysters. Even though he liked painting cats, he wasn’t as skilled, as you can tell here. Of course, we say “cat” for lack of a better definition, given that its face looks nothing like the feline we all know and love.
