#11: The Toxic Woman
In February 1994, California resident Gloria Ramirez, suffering from cervical cancer, was admitted to a hospital with perplexing symptoms. Medical staff noted a confusing oily sheen on her body and a fruity-garlic odor emanating from her mouth. During treatment, nurses observed manila-colored particles in her blood. They detected an ammonia-like smell, leading to a bizarre chain reaction where over 23 medical staff members fell ill, with five requiring hospitalization.
This mysterious incident, which resulted in Ramirez’s death shortly thereafter, has been attributed by some to mass hysteria. However, those who were present dispute this explanation, maintaining that the unusual and unexplained events of that day were far from mere hysteria. The true cause remains a matter of speculation and debate.
