#24: The Disappearance of Harold Holt
In a startling incident that defied all expectations and baffles people to this day, Australian PM Harold Holt disappeared while swimming in the ocean on December 17, 1967. Despite being accompanied by six others at the beach, only one joined him in the water, citing unsafe conditions.
