#39: Upcycling Your Clothes
We all have old clothes lying around in the closet that are never going to see the light of day again. Every now and then, when we get around to cleaning out the closet, our immediate instinct is to throw out these clothes. However, you don’t have to let those old jeans gather dust in the back of your closet or end up in the landfill when you can transform them into new items of clothing.
With some creativity and basic sewing skills, you can upcycle your worn-out denim into fashionable shorts, stylish hats, or even cute scrunchies. Cut-off shorts are a classic choice, and you can easily customize their length and distressing to your liking. Turn the remaining fabric into a stylish bucket hat or a trendy baseball cap. That might require more than basic sewing skills, but you’ll learn a handy hobby while you’re at it.
