If there’s one thing we know, Americans like to live on the edge. What’s more exhilarating than not knowing exactly how much you will pay for something until you get to the cash register? It’s a game of financial roulette; you never know what you’ll get when a cashier rings you up.
Plus, it’s not like we don’t have enough to worry about without having to do math every time we go shopping. Can you imagine how much that new pair of shoes will cost, with taxes included? No, thank you. We’ll stick to the good old “bait and switch” pricing strategy.
