The 90s were a great decade when it comes to TV and movies. A lot of iconic movies were released in the 90s, from Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction to Forrest Gump and Titanic, and many great TV shows were introduced to us, like Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, and SpongeBob SquarePants. But for all of these great films and TV shows, there were others that were just as good and just didn’t get the recognition they deserved. Some TV shows have left an impact on audiences and remain popular to this day, while others were somewhat overlooked and forgotten over the years. We’re here today to explore these forgotten 90s TV shows that deserve to be revived.
#1: Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper
Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper (1992-1997) is an American sitcom that followed Mark Cooper, a former basketball player turned high school teacher. Cooper’s eccentric humor and charismatic personality helped him navigate his love life, living with two female roommates, school politics, and the crushing boredom of his days teaching at the fictional John F. Kennedy High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
It had just the right amount of light-hearted humor, real-world musings on friendship and romance, and classroom chaos, which is why Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper certainly deserves to be remembered alongside other family sitcoms coming out of the late 80s and 90s.
