Siberian Maiden
All the way up in the region of Siberia, deep inside Russia, there was a mummy found, nicknamed ‘The Siberian Ice Maiden’. A member of a group of people called the Pazyryk, this ancient culture was one of the earliest peoples to be living in the cold and hostile northern region.
She was found in the 1990s, laying in her tomb, which was so impressive it’s worth mentioning alone. The tomb had six horses next to her (sacrificial animals were common in this culture) and a grand coffin. It seemed as though the Siberian Maiden was very well respected amongst her peers.
