21. I’m Lovin’ It
The very first McDonald’s was opened as a carhop drive-in in California by the McDonald’s brothers, long before it evolved into the global mega-chain hamburger joint we know it for today. Opened in 1940, there were still some elderly veterans from the Civil War around.
They could well have been some of the first customers to come through, especially since the earlier versions of the menu were more directed towards barbecue than Micky D’s staple burger and fries. The older version of McDonald’s sounds much more enjoyable to me.
