37. For Those Who Hated Math…
Harvard University is known today as one of the most prestigious schools in the United States and in the world at large. Well, prestigious or elitist, depending on who you ask, but having your name associated with it is likely to open many doors. Still, it got its start like any other university and has a rich history.
Interestingly, when it first opened its doors in 1636, one of the most advanced forms of math had not even been discovered yet! It would happen soon, however, within the same century. It was developed by both Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, though each found it independently.
