#10: The Great Mouse Detective
Believe it or not, the 1986 film The Great Mouse Detective is credited with helping to save Disney. This classic, inspired by Basil of Baker Street and starring a mousey Sherlock Holmes and Basil, helped pull the company out of a financial hole.
Best of all, the movie’s villain, Professor Ratigan, was played by horror master extraordinaire Vincent Price. Price’s edge was exactly what this movie (and Ratigan) needed to spook even London’s most brilliant investigator. Still, people hardly ever talk about this movie anymore. We bet you didn’t even remember it existed.
