Beethoven wrote Fur Elise in 1810. According to prepscholar.com, once he wrote it, he promptly set it to the side and never played it again. It wasn’t until 1867, when it was discovered by someone going through his drafts, that it was copied and sent out all over the world. It’s one of the most well-known musical pieces in existence!
