No Airplane Ice
It’s common knowledge you shouldn’t drink water from airplanes. For those that don’t know, built-in water containers on aircrafts are very rarely cleaned, meaning that the water may be infected with bacteria and all sorts of gross organisms from dozens of flights before yours.
The same is also true for airplane ice. So, if the flight attendant offers you a soft drink or bottle of water with ice, make sure to skip the ice. Your drink won’t be as refreshing, but at least you’ll reduce the risk of suffering from a stomach bug for your entire journey. Unfortunately, packing your own ice is virtually impossible.
