Kylian Mbappé – Before
Kylian Mbappé’s childhood wasn’t a fairytale. He grew up in one of the rougher parts of Paris, which was frequented by gangs and looters. In 2005, Kylian witnessed one of the community’s worse rioting incidents, when a group of people burned down public buildings and countless cars.
Although he was exposed to the gang life at a young age, he didn’t need urgings from his parents to stay away from it. Soccer was on his mind 24/7, and he would even use a soccer ball as a pillow at nighttime. When he was just six years old, he joined a local program to develop children’s soccer skills, and needless to say, he flourished.
