Zinedine Zidane – Then
Zinedine Zidane is a man who requires no introduction, at least to fans of the soccer world. He spent most of his childhood in La Castellane in France, which was known for crime, unemployment, and gang activity. His father worked as a store watchman and somehow managed to make enough money to feed all seven of his kids.
At just five years old, Zinedine was exposed to soccer by his peers, who were mostly migrants from North Africa. And without getting too deep into it, Zinedine would run circles around his peers. In no time at all, youth clubs sought to secure Zinedine, and he would make a large splash there, as well.
