The Titanic sailed from Southampton to New York City in the spring of 1912. Because Titanic tickets were extremely hard to come by, only the most elite passengers were allowed to board this “unsinkable” ship (and very expensive). The mythology of the RMS Titanic has lived on in novels, media, and, of course, James Cameron’s classic film since that terrible day when the ship crashed with a massive iceberg.

The film Titanic provided us with a feeling of what transpired on that ship, but only true photos can offer us a true picture. View these rare images from the Titanic’s maiden voyage and see how it appears today.
On the cruise, you’ll see real images of passengers.
