Though it would probably be foolish and naive to say that we are completely on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s nice to know that we are at least at a point where we seem to have a better handle on things than we did in the early days. Yes, I’m choosing my words carefully here.

One thing I don’t miss is wearing a mask (although I did it, because I understood why it was important for public health and I believe in considering the public good). That’s not a feeling that many Floridians will ever have, though, since a lot of them never wore masks in the first place. This is probably why Florida has one of the highest COVID death rates in the country!
