Infrastructure
Because it is able to participate in free trade with the other nations of the world, South Korea is able to make financial gains, which it can subsequently put toward investments in the nation’s underlying infrastructure. The upkeep of roads in a decent state and the construction of bridges of a high standard are both outcomes of this process.
However, in North Korea, commercial activity is severely restricted, and the inefficient method in which the government is administered leaves very little room in the budget to ensure that the country’s roads and bridges are maintained in good condition.
