No Good Deed Goes Unpunished
Another choosy beggar here! It would be hard to navigate around town in a wheelchair, especially in a place with a lot of hills. So if someone kindly offers to push you around, I bet that that could be really helpful, if you’re OK with a stranger being all up in your business.
What would be a terrible response, though, is to demand that this person push you even farther than originally agreed upon and then go on a racist tirade. I’m pretty sure that that’s one of those rules of etiquette: when someone’s doing nice things for you, you don’t say racist stuff to them. I think Emily Post would back me up here.
