Cat in the Box Theory
You remember those old family tales about funny things you used to do as a kid, don’t you? One of my favorite stories in the family is about how I received a costly toy for my birthday when I was a toddler. It seems that I opened the present, disposed of the box (with the toy inside it), and had a good time with the wrapping paper.
This was supposed to convey my humility and the fact that it takes very little to make me happy. However, it highlighted something else entirely: that adults are completely oblivious when it comes to what excites children. And cats, of course: we have no idea what they’re into. So we should simply accept it.
