Tarzan’s “yell” is Unconvincing and Uninspired.
Performance of a “Tarzan Yell” will be required of actors who play Tarzan in the upcoming film adaptation of the character. According to the Tarzan estate’s management company, this trademarked cry has been patented and registered as a trademarked sound in the United States, where it is known as the Tarzan cry.
Tony Goldwyn, the actor who played the Tarzan, was unable to come up with a convincing jungle cry for the role of the title character. Ultimately, the voice of Brian Blessed, who portrayed the film’s antagonist, was used to create the film’s distinctive audio style, but we enjoy it anyways.
