The concept of spending one’s life aboard a submarine, which is essentially just a metal tube that is submerged in water, is pretty frightening when one gives it some real thought. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that law enforcement personnel refer to their sleeping quarters as “coffins.” That is the exact process that takes place.
This is a one-of-a-kind moniker, but if other people were to call us that, we are unsure whether or not we would be content being buried in a cemetery. Despite the fact that it is quite evident that we are joking, the name of these underground shelters is pretty hilarious and makes light of the situation.
