For someone who isn’t a runner, it’s rather hard to understand why anyone would want to traverse 26.2 miles at any speed on foot, much less at a run. The endorphins of a good run will indeed leave you feeling like you’re on top of the world, though. Maybe that’s why they do it?
Honestly, they probably just want that “26.2” bumper sticker so they can show their superiority over those of us who struggle to walk a few miles. We see you, marathoners.
