#14: Blue Boar Cafeterias
Blue Boar Cafeterias opened its doors in 1931, and it was a major location in metropolitan Louisville. It is still remembered for its location there on Fourth Avenue. During the thirties, Blue Boar Cafeteria was known for its witty locations, courtesy of Guion Earle.
However, like many other cafes and diners before and after it, the Blue Boar Cafeteria faced its decline in the 1990s when the restaurant business started to change drastically. The final location in a shopping center at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Preston Highway closed its doors in 1999.
