#21: White Coffee Pot
White Coffee Pot Family Inns used to be a private company in Baltimore, Maryland. It opened in 1932, and it was a restaurant chain and coffee shop. The Family Inns branch then opened a subsidiary called White Coffee Pot, Jr., which was a fast-food chain that counted competitors like Friendly’s, Denny’s and Gino’s, which was a KFC vendor.
In 1993, the last White Coffee Pot closed down. It was located in Brooklyn Park, Maryland. The company was then sold to Horn and Horn Smorgasbord, which was a cafeteria chain. Some former White Coffee Pots because Cactus Willie’s restaurants (which were buffets).
