46 People Are Sharing the Things They Know Must Be True But Have No Way of Proving

#44: Give Credit Where Credit is Due

Most of us were taught in school that ancient civilizations existed in relative squalor. They didn’t have modern medicine and education on par with what we have today. How could they have possibly survived? Well, the truth is that humans who lived thousands of years ago weren’t much different than we humans today.

People who lived in these ancient civilizations were just as creative, inquisitive, and intelligent. The ancient Greeks, Egyptians, and Maya were way more advanced than we give them credit for. Many of these civilizations built outstanding monumental architecture. The fact that they flourished and discovered new things without the help of our modern conveniences is pretty incredible.
