#37: Our Paper Houses Reach the Stars
I have so many questions that I would like to ask the American in this next story. First, where in the world did she get the idea that Serbs live in paper houses, and what does that even look like? Is she picturing some kind of origami affair? Or is she picturing shoji walls as found in Japan? Because actually, that would be beautiful.
Second, why would living in a house made of paper prevent you from learning English? I have never lived in a house made of paper, but I can’t imagine that it would negatively affect my language acquisition skills. Maybe if you spend all your time worrying a rainstorm will dissolve your home, that would distract you from studying your English textbooks.
