Honk Honk
Another thing that confuses many outsiders is why Americans, particularly New Yorkers, love honking their horns. Well, it’s like a form of communication. If you’re not honking your horn in New York, you’re not really living. It’s like the Big Apple version of Morse code, with the whole city participating in a symphony of honking!
Also, honking is prevalent in NYC because of the heavy traffic, tight street, and busy lifestyle. People honk to communicate their presence, signal the other drivers, show frustration, or express their emotions. It’s just a part of the culture, like hot dogs, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty.
