#25: The Kids From the Land of St. Martin
When we were younger, we were capable of letting our imaginations run wild in a way that we are incapable of doing as adults. Many of us believed that aliens existed and that there were other places in our solar system that had signs of life… But what if this little fantasy actually became a reality? Well, in England around the year 1150, there was an incident where two little children, green in complexion, showed up at a farm in Suffolk and who spoke an unknown language and were unsure how they ended up in the fields.
A man named Richard was to be their host who decided to feed, bathe and home them as well as teach them some English. After some time, their skin lost its green color, and they claimed to have come from the Land of St. Martin, where the sun doesn’t rise… Both children were baptized and considered to be the children of Richard, their caretaker. However, the boy died shortly after from some unknown illness, and the girl remained with her new caretaker. No one ever figured out where the land of St. Martin was…
