#7: Chester A. Arthur
Unlike many other past presidents who have familial connections in politics, the 21st president of the United States, Chester A. Arthur, was the son of an Irish baptist preacher who came to the U.S. in search of a better life. Serving as president from 1881-1885, Arthur was always dignified and somewhat misled in his politics.
He might not seem like it, but “Elegant Arthur” knew how to get down. The proud owner of more than 80 pairs of pants was famous for hosting late-night feasts, which ultimately helped him gain 40 pounds whilst in the office. However, once his wife died, he kind of went off the rails and turned into somewhat o a party animal, leaving his son, “The Prince of Washington,” to fend for himself.
