#34: Job Hopping
Your mileage may vary on this one. It is true that one of the best ways to get a salary increase is to quit your job and find a new one. However, you have to be sure that you can find a new, better-paying job, and also, prospective employers will see on your resume that you change jobs often, and that might put them off you.
However, in certain industries, and especially if—as this Tweet says—you are good at your job, you could probably get away with this. In that case, this might be a better option than waiting around for your job to give you a raise, which they may or may not do. The jury’s still out on this one.
