Television programs
The first episode of Little House on the Prairie was broadcast on NBC in 1974, marking the show’s debut. Many people were in the cast, including Melissa Gilbert and Karen Grassle. The period covered by the show was in the 1870s and 1880s in the state of Minnesota.
Michael Landon, who played Charles Ingalls, also served as the show’s director. He first needed to play Charles in the production to direct the musical. A critically praised show aired for a total of nine seasons.
