#31: The Mom from Stranger Things
Seeing celebrities get older is one of the weirdest parts about aging. One day you wake up, and the cool, young, hot celebs of your youth are suddenly middle-aged, and Gen Z has never heard of them. Thankfully, some of Gen X’s sweetheart celebs have been able to pivot and transition their fame to appeal to younger generations. That doesn’t mean it’s any less shocking when it happens.
Take Winona Ryder, for example. Twitter user and fellow Gen Xer Gennifer Hutchison pointed out that kids these days think of Winona as “the mom from Stranger Things.” While Winona probably doesn’t take that classification too personally, plenty of Gen Xers do. What could be less cool than the youths of today thinking of all middle-aged ladies as “moms”? How unfair! Anyways, time to hop in our minivan to run our errands. Bye!
