#37: The Blizzafloodquakenado, Oklahoma? Really?
Oklahoma has some odd weather. They aren’t prone to blizzards, but they did get 27 inches in one single day in 2011. The same goes for flooding. It’s not a common occurrence, but when it does happen, it’s terrible! In 1986, they saw up to 20 inches of rain in central Oklahoma, creating mass chaos.
As for earthquakes, the strongest earthquake in Oklahoma’s history was a 5.6 magnitude in 2016. It occurred shortly after 7 am, waking many residents up and scaring a lot of people. Oklahoma can lay claim to tornado activity, landing the top spot out of all 50 states with an average of 68 tornadoes per year.
