Ancient Horror
From the moment European settlers arrived in Alaska, they were eager to hear the native stories of the local population, such as the Yup’ik tribe. Among these stories was the ancient equivalent of a world war, when groups of indigenous tribes battled over territorial control; the story of a period when this area was marred by intense bloodshed.
However, since the local tribes relied on oral history, scientists couldn’t discover many artifacts to prove the stories in an official capacity. However, a recent trip to areas in Alaska exposed to melting uncovered an ancient crime scene. They found communal houses destroyed by war and attacks, evidenced by the burnt material and supply of arrowheads.
