#22: William Howard Taft
There are many different roles for government officials to take in the U.S. government. Many times, people that have held one title often go on to hold another somewhere down the line. However, just because someone might be talented in one field of government doesn’t mean they will be suited for all fields.
William Howard Taft was the 27th president of the United States and held the position from 1909-1913. With an IQ of 139.5, Taft was a distinguished lawyer and held the position of the tenth Chief Justice of the United States between 1921-1930, being the only person to do so in history. However, his stint as Chief Justice was far more successful than his presidency.
