The Power of Consequences
Teaching children that their choices and actions have (good and not-so-good) consequences is vital for their development. Maybe if more parents did that, the world would be filled with more emphatic adults, right? After all, educating kids that their decisions and actions matter can help them learn self-discipline and altruism.

I get that many parents don’t want to see their kids suffering, so they tend to do everything in their power to make the child’s life easier, but what they don’t realize is that they’re setting them up for failure. When we always have someone cleaning up our mess, we don’t learn from our mistakes, and we don’t develop a sense of self-discipline. So just let your child screw up a little bit, trust me.
