#16: There Are No Stupid Questions
If there is one thing I’ve learned in all my years as a student and sub, it’s always better to ask for the work before you’re absent than when you return. That way, you can do the assignments at your leisure, instead of cramming them all into one evening when you get back. This also keeps you on track in the classroom!
You’d think this was a rhetorical question, but it’s not. For some reason, kids can’t wrap their minds around anything that happens out of sight or hearing. If they didn’t witness it, it didn’t happen. Therefore, they truly come in and ask this question with a straight face and expect a no.
