#14: I’m Out. Peace!
People love to talk about their kids and have no problem striking up a conversation with a teacher, even during their time off. They never stop to consider that teachers have lives, too, and don’t want to talk shop when they’re off work! Here’s a tip, people. Set up a conference if you have questions!
Teachers are happy to talk about your child during work hours. You know, when they’re getting paid for their time. Approaching them on the weekend is like asking you to head to work on your day off without getting paid. Next time you see your kid’s teacher on the street, the right thing to do is nod politely, maybe give them a wave, and move on.
