If you have school-aged kids, how often do you speak with their teachers? Other than teacher appreciation week, the only times correspondence happens is when something goes wrong. Often, teachers get yelled at, cussed at, and blamed for so many things they have no control over. You know your kids aren’t the best behaved at home, why would they be at school?

I say we all secretly make a plan to send flowers to the teachers in our lives randomly throughout the year, to show our appreciation. Even better, we can go in and volunteer to help them out on a regular basis, giving them fewer things to worry about on the day-to-day. After all, they’re the ones shaping the future generations – they could use our support.
