Lydia Jacoby
If you thought the 18-year-old Regan Smith’s young age was impressive for an Olympic athlete, you ain’t seen nothin’ net. Lydia Jacoby is just 17 years old as of right now, yet she also made her Olympic debut in Tokyo. But before that, she won awards left and right at the junior level.
After a super-successful trial, Lydia would go on to take home two medals from Tokyo—the gold for the 100-meter breaststroke and silver in the 4×100-meter medley. Before the Olympics, she already committed to going to the University of Texas at Austin as a competitive swimmer and a student in fashion design.
