Railroad Keepers
People who worked as gandy dancers had nothing to do with dancing but were often known as “Gandy Dancers.” Railway firms employed these individuals in the 1960s and 1970s to execute manual maintenance and upkeep on train tracks.
This project, which necessitated a lot of hard labor, was in great demand. As with many jobs on this list, that scarcity has decreased as technology advanced. Gandy Dancers, on the other hand, continue to operate in small numbers and can be seen worldwide working on railroads.
